Patricia L. Murray, MD, FACOG

Dr. Patricia L. Murray earned her medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine 1981 and completed her OB/GYN residency at George Washington University in 1985. Dr. Murray was board certified in 1987 by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

After finishing residency in 1985, Dr. Murray served on active duty in the United States Air Force, stationed at F.E. warren AFB in Wyoming until 1989, Wiesbaden Germany until 1991 and Travis AFB, California until 1994. After separating from the Air Force in 1994, Dr. Murray joined Pratt in Fredericksburg for 17 months then practiced in Evanston, Wyoming for 3 years before opening her Fredericksburg practice in 1999.

George E. Nowacek, MD, FACOG

Dr. George E. Nowacek earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia Medical School in 1995. He completed Internship and Residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1999. There he served as Administrative Chief Resident in his final year. He was board-certified in 2001 by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

After completion of training, Dr. Nowacek joined a private practice in Macon, Georgia where he practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology until moving to Fredericksburg in 2005 to focus his practice on gynecology only. Areas of special interest include: laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery, ultrasound and menopausal issues.

Donna Elder, W.H.N.P.

Donna L. Elder received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA in 1976 and completed her training as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) and was certified in 1979. In 1989, Ms. Elder was NCC certified in Reproductive endocrinology and infertility nursing. In 1998, she completed her master’s degree in nurse-midwifery at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. and was ACC certified in 1999. Ms. Elder began her career as a nurse practitioner in a private OB/GYN practice in Pittsburgh, PA. As her interests in reproductive endocrinology and infertility grew, she became the Clinical Coordinator of the In-Vitro Fertilization Program in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Magee-Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. On moving to the D.C. area, she joined the George Washington University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as the clinical coordinator of the In-Vitro Fertilization Program 1983.
